This is a nail art test of the "box" type on capsules.
In addition to these test specific rules, the candidate must respect the general rules of the INJA competition and the rules common to all box-type events.
All the capsules will be decorated.
Expected work on decoration: the nail art must reflect the type of decoration trend that is done in a nail bar or in an institute, it must be design and modern. No pictorial type of realization.
The candidate must prepare a total of 10 capsules.
The capsules must have different sizes by imitating the nails of a hand. An automatic penalty of 5 points will be applied to the final score on the in which case all the capsules would be the same size.
The capsules must be mounted separately on the black background and are to detach from each other.
The nail art theme is freely chosen by the candidate. All capsules must be decorated.
Competitors may use the following products: airbrush, acrylic, gel, paint (Micro art), varnish, semi-permanent varnish.
Raw decorations assembled by the candidate are allowed (such as fake diamonds, pearls, ingots, metal sheets and holograms).
Decals and prefabricated parts of nail art are not allowed 3D or Fimo shapes.
The candidate must use at least 3 decoration processes among those listed in points 11 and 12.
All the nail art created must be entirely and exclusively made by the competitor.
Each competitor must be prepared to explain verbally how each element was created at the request of the judges.
In case of doubt as to the authenticity of the realization, the judges may ask the competitor to recreate some of the work submitted as proof.
The nail art must occupy the majority of the nail surface.
The created nail art must not exceed 1 cm above the surface of the capsule or 5 points will be deducted from the final score.
The 9 evaluation criteria are:
the level of difficulty and complexity in the implementation,
the general harmony of the composition and the representation of the theme by continuity on each nail,
the balance of the design (the nail art must be fairly represented on all nails, and the surface of the capsules fully worked),
the proper use of the color (harmony, contrasts...),
the respect of the theme on each nail and an overall realization where all the capsules complement each other,
the graphic quality (the relief will be enhanced),
design clarity (each element of the drawing must be identifiable),
the originality in the choice of the theme or in its treatment if it is a subject already known,
mastery in the design (no jolts visible in the drawing) and finishes (no glue in excess...).
